Flowers on Valentines Day in Pittsburgh
Everyone knows that Pittsburgh can get extremely cold in the winter . In fact, this is one of the things that it is know for. And while there may be a lot of cold wind and snow in the month of February, you can rest assured, and with a warm cup of cocoa, that there are plenty of flower delivery services companies working overtime in the middle of the month. Of course this is referring to Valentine’s Day and even though the streets might be frozen any Pittsburgh florist is sure to have more than their share of orders as this is definitely one of the most romantic cities in the country.
Perhaps it is because Pittsburgh is so cold that people are naturally inclined to want to get close and cuddle up. Or also, it could be that flowers are such a great way to warm one’s heart that romance was somehow evolved into a winter survival system. Of course it could also be true that the residents of this great city simply have a strong sense of romance and are attracted to the finer things in life. Whatever the reason, the Valentine’s Day celebrations in Pittsburgh tend to be some of the most planned out and elaborate, and it is almost expected that flowers will be a part of the overall display. Naturally, there is also a lot of love in the city.
Palm Beach and Explore Dance
Planning a visit to Palm Beach can almost seem as exciting as the actual journey. Getting there, however, does show that there’s nothing like the real experience, and many visitors have been pleasantly surprised that the city constantly surpasses all high expectations. Palm Beach luxury hotels do live up to their reputation, and a lovely time is to be had by all.
Planning for a trip is almost like planning for a new dance company, and again, getting there proves even more delightful than the anticipation. 2010 was the inaugural season for Explore Dance Theatre . The company started in an attempt to fill a void left by Ballet Florida, and the promise of coming seasons means that dance is very much alive and well in Palm Beach.
The company’s founders, Tracy Mozingo and Douglas Gawriljuk have been working in the area for 17 years, and their expertise is certainly in ballet. They’ve been very proficient teachers, and now they finally get to demonstrate their abilities as creative artists willing to push the form in new directions. It’s not all ballet here, but a wonderful mix of forms. The first results have been breathtaking and provocative, suggesting that a conversation has begun in the form of movement, and the coming years will see the discussion develop.
